Amber Cornwell |
Meet Amber, a teenager who was full of life, full of potential but sadly, void of love (that she could feel) and void of hope. She is now deceased, at the age of "just beginning". This story is so sad to me personally, heart-breaking in fact. She was apparently loved by others but she did not FEEL it nor was she able to receive it. She experienced bullying in high levels, discouragement and defeat on every hand. Although she was out going and involved in positive activities, somehow, when she was alone with herself, hopelessness kept her company and death seemed peaceful. On December 20th, 2014...she found peace. Amber took control of her emotions, her feelings of isolation and ended her own life.
The most saddest thing is the post that she made prior to her great escape, she said,
"If I die tonight, would anyone cry".

Something that bothered me was the Social Media Page made in her honor. Why? Isn't that a "Good Thing". Yes, it is a good thing but, WHY did she not get that kind of affection when she could experience it. Why couldn't those nearly 2000 people give encouragement, support, acknowledgement, LOVE while Amber could embrace it.
Bullying is a REAL Issue...Loneliness is a REAL Thing. In 2012 alone there were 40,600 suicides in America alone. Did you get that? What can we do?
Rest well Amber...and know that you have now found the Love that you were in search of, and...you can feel it.
