A Meeting of the Minds...Maybe.

Local NAACP Leaders Meet With KKK Leaders in Casper, Wyoming

So this past weekend in Casper, Wyoming members of the KKK and NAACP met up to discuss some violent situations that has been going on in their community and also to address the fact the the KKK are still distributing pamphlets for their cause a midst all the drama already happening.
Jimmy Simmons, President of the local NAACP Chapter, called the meeting which included John Abarr of the United Klans of America. The meeting was not as productive as hoped for but they did at least get the ball rolling.

Yal think this gonna work? Ya think that the violence will cease or the the KKK will slow up with the delivery of their literature? Perhaps but either way...the simple fact that an effort is being made is a start.

Historically both the NAACP and KKK have been on polar opposites...WARING both directly and indirectly; Kinda like a Blood vs. Crip situation...fighting for position, territory and the existence of their population.

"In the history of the KKK members held a strong belief in white supremacy. White supremacy is the belief that persons of white heritage are superior to other racial descendants. White supremacy is often associated with political and social ideology"
(quote from kkk.org site)

If this is the doctrinal food that has been fed to these people since the 1860s...Generation after Generation...can hearts and minds REALLY be altered? On top of that, look at ALL that has happened since this time...MORE HATE, MORE Violence and MORE underhanded attacks on People of Color.

I do think that this is an Open Door for CHANGE but who will walk through is another story.

Do you think it is Time to try and Unite on ALL fronts or...are we too far divided?
